As I am writing this article the setup for the feast is underway the tents are being delivered and all the hard work that is done prior to the actual feast is coming to fruition. Aside from a few major issues like there being a huge hole in the parking lot one week before the start, a dumpster, fence and pod there the morning of the setup there hasn’t been that many other issues. The forecast looks good for the rest of the week and we will be having a great feast.

On July 18th we had the District II King & Queen pageant. Both our King Christian and Queen Christine represented Cellini like a real King and Queen. Even though they were not chosen to represent District II they are still our King and Queen and I know they will do all they can do for Cellini.

August 13th the Marty Lyons Foundation had its annual Bowling for wishes and I want to thank Maria D’Urso, Colleen, Pat and Angelo Ferrara for taking the time out of their busy schedules to help make these kids wishes come true. We were fortunate to actually get to meet and have pictures taken with Marty Lyons. Colleen came in Third place for all the women and won a beautiful glass trophy and I won the Grand Prize of a Laptop computer. This was the second time in 4 years that I won the laptop.

On August 15th Gill and Angela DeCosimo, from the Judge Frank A Gulotta lodge, Luigi Squillante and myself went to the Garibaldi Meucci Museum for the annual Ferragosto and despite the rain showers it was a nice time and next year we will hopefully see more of our members there. There was food from many of the local restaurants and bakeries, wine tasting, music for the adults as well as games and face painting for the children. We worked hard but it was for a good cause. We will be planning a trip to the museum in the fall more information will follow.

Our feast thank you party will be held on Friday, September 17th at Clinton Martin Park. Please come and you will hear some of the reports of the Feast and it is a way to say Thank you for everyone’s hard work.
